Angling in Pagham
Anglers are full members of Pagham Yacht Club and enjoy the benefits of all the club facilities, including access 365 days a year to the heated changing rooms, with hot showers, and, of course, the bar! We welcome new members.
Focus is on angling off Pagham, from boats up to about 16ft. These can be launched from our slipway, using suitably modified trailers to traverse the shingle beach, and then recovered by the club’s winches. Our activities also including beach fishing, charter trips and the annual “Away Trip”
There are angling competitions throughout the year. Competition is keen for the variety of fish species in the local waters.
We welcome youth members participating in angling activities and the opportunity exists for them to get afloat with experienced anglers. With safety in mind, it is a strict rule that lifejackets or buoyancy aids are worn and a high standard of behaviour is expected when youth members are engaged in these activities. The known agreement of parents or guardian is also required before youth members take part in these angling events.
The Club is affiliated to the British Conger Club and the Angling Trust (AT) and members are encouraged to become personal members of the AT. For the purpose of registration, the angling section of Pagham Yacht Club is known as “Pagham Sea Angling Club”.
